WOW! Factor Desserts, based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, is a family-run business that has been operating for 35 years strong.   From our humble beginning in a basement kitchen long ago, WOW! Factor Desserts is considered Canada’s leader in the manufacturing and distribution of high-end, frozen desserts.  With North American distribution, WOW! supplies to restaurants, hotels, banquet halls, cruise ships, casinos, healthcare institutions, and airlines

WOW! offers a vast selection of gourmet pre-portioned cheesecakes, cakes, tortes, pies, individual serving desserts, sheet cakes, and banquet cakes for the food service industry.

Our company is built on a strong foundation that fosters integrity, transparency, leadership, adaptability, accountability, and approachability.  We are a passionate company that feels like family - our team sees themselves as ‘stakeholders’ within the company and that motivates management and other employees to work exceptionally hard to ensure the company’s success. We pride ourselves in excellence, quality, and the best customer service in the industry.

We don’t compromise on quality - we produce our products with ‘real’ ingredients: real cream cheese, real dairy cream, real chocolate, natural flavours etc.  We consider ourselves a ‘scratch bakery’.  An example of this is our home-made caramel and cream cheese icing that gives our desserts that WOW Factor.

Innovation is key and over the decades, we have literally produced hundreds of new recipes.  Our most recent line, Dainty Cakes, shows off new flavours such as our Matcha Blackberry Cheesecake, Lemon Lavender Cheesecake, our White Chocolate Chai Melt-away, and our Apple Crisp Melt-Away.  Check out our other new Individuals, Seasonal desserts, and a line of Signature Loaves that has opened up new market segments for us in the coffee and tea industry.

Talk to us!  You will find we are relationship driven, take a servant leadership approach, and have an open door policy.  A chef/customer can make a suggestion right up to the President level and feel like someone listened and acted upon it. Flexibility and openness with our customers is a real attribute and we are reminded often just how special and rare that is in our business these days.

We are also community driven and care very much about giving back.  We are proud employers to the Robin Hood Association, a local organization that provides assistance and job opportunities for people with disabilities.  This devoted group of people fold the boxes that our desserts go in.   Coming up on our 25th Anniversary of working with this inspiring team of people, I recently became aware that 2 employees hadn't taken a sick day in over 21 years!  Loyal, hard working, and caring people, we are proud that they are a part of our team.  Check out the "Our Story" section on our site to see their picture and more.
